Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic Update

To the Amazing Patients of Brentwood Dental Group,

Dear patients of Brentwood Dental Group,

As we are now undergoing a gradual re-opening, we want to keep you up to date on the few changes we have made around the office to protect both your safety along with our team.

Please see some of the following changes that we have made to keep everyone safe:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand (by phone or email) to ask some screening questions. The questionnaire will ask if you have tested COVID-19 positive or are exhibiting signs of COVID-19 (e.g. cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, new loss of taste or smell, etc), awaiting lab test of COVID-19, have been in close contact with individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or have traveled to region with high rates of COVID-19 or outside of BC. Upon arrival you will be asked to sanitize your hands, consent to treatment and have your temperature taken. If we are unable to complete this step or if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you self-isolate for 14 days prior to booking in to see us. We understand the inconvenience but we are doing the same for everyone (including ALL staff members, Dentists and hygienists’) so you will also be protected.
  • Patients who are over the age of 70 years or are suffering from Serious respiratory disease, Serious heart conditions, Immunocompromised conditions, Severe obesity, Diabetes, Chronic kidney disease or those undergoing dialysis, Liver disease and Pregnancy are considered vulnerable and should avoid routine care during this time. If you encounter a toothache or have some other more urgent dental problem, we recommend that you book an appointment in the morning to minimize your exposure to other visitors attending our office.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • Upon entering the treatment room, all patients are required to wash your hands and perform an oral pre-rinse prior to treatment to reduce exposure to germs.
  • Enhanced operatory disinfection procedures before and after all appointments with mist or fogging devices, in addition to our regular cleaning and disinfection procedure.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We ask for your patience as you and we adapt to these new changes. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

We look forward to serving you and please visit our website at www.brentwooddentalgroup.ca for future updates. To make an appointment, please call our office at 604-299-7505.

Your trust and loyalty and patience with us during this process is genuinely appreciated and we cannot wait to see all of you back in our office once.

Sincerely,
Brentwood Dental Group
