Dr. Jenghis Kung
Dr. Jenghis Kung grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia and graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1999 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He has worked as a general dentist for the past 15 years at Brentwood Dental Group. Dr. Kung is proud to serve the people of North Burnaby and have lasting relationships with people in the community. He believes that good dentistry is a result of technical skill, artistic talent, patience, and a desire for the best result possible. Dr. Kung strives to maintain a balance between offering conservative recommendations and suggesting appropriate preventive measures based on years of clinical experience. He explains treatment options in a straightforward manner and uses the new, state-of-the-art facilities at Brentwood Dental Group to carry out treatment, educate patients, and maintain a level of transparency. Patients are encouraged to ask any questions they may have regarding the latest techniques in general and cosmetic dentistry, implants, extractions, root canals, and orthodontics.
Dr. Michelle Kim
Dr. Michelle Kim was born and raised in Vancouver. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (1994) and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (1998) from the University of British Columbia. She has practiced as a general dentist in the lower mainland for the majority of her career.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, furthering her clinical skills with years of involvement in study clubs focused on root canals and implant surgery. She has also completed training at the Frontier Institute in Smile Design and Cosmetic dentistry. With her skills in surgery, restorative, and pediatric dentistry, Dr. Kim can provided full service care.
Dr. Kim’s caring and gentle nature comes through in the treatment she provides. She aims to provide her patients conservative quality care. With a patient-centred approach, she strives to educate patients and present the best options available. Her meticulous nature and integrity drive her in providing patients with the best results possible.
Dr. Raj Virk
Dr. Raj Virk has been a dentist at Brentwood Dental Group since 2007. Growing up in Abbotsford BC, he finished high school there and then completed a BSc. with Honours in Mathematics at UBC. He went on to complete his DMD degree at UBC in 2007. After six years of dental practice, Dr. Virk decided he missed school too much so he went back to teach part-time as a clinical instructor for the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC. Alongside this, he enjoys being an instructor for the advanced cosmetic dentistry training program at the renowned Frontier Institute. When he is not catching up on sleep, Dr. Virk enjoys traveling, reading Shakespeare, and trying hard not to be the worst cook in the metro Vancouver.
Dr. Kiet DO
Dr. Do’s passion and commitment to continually excel at the art of dentistry stems from his need to provide the highest quality of dental care to his patients. In dental school that commitment translated into numerous awards which included periodontal, radiology, oral pathology, anatomy and patient care. He continues to participate in study clubs and courses to enhance his skills in implants and periodontal surgery. His gentle and caring nature make dentistry comfortable even for the most anxious patients. When this proud father of four is not spending his free time with children he can be found relaxing on the golf course or playing tennis (which he takes just as seriously as his dentistry)
Dr. Andy Hua
Dr. Andy Hua (DMD) has joined us from Sydney, Australia. He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and training at the University of Sydney, where he worked with a wide variety of patients including special needs, pediatrics, and emergency care. Before Dr. Hua started dentistry, he completed a Bachelors degree in Physiotherapy also at the University of Sydney. However, after a year of working as a Physiotherapist, he decided that fixing toothaches would be more interesting than fixing back aches. Dr. Hua also enjoys volunteering to help treat the under privileged; in 2014 he visited and treated children living in orphanages in Cambodia as part of a mobile dental clinic and in 2015 he volunteered in rural NSW, Australia, to help the community with their dental needs. Dr. Hua keeps up with the latest treatments and technology available and is constantly expanding his expertise in different areas with study clubs and continuing education courses to give his patients holistic care. Dr. Hua is known for his easy going personality and dedication to his patients by keeping them well informed with treatment options, costs, and possible outcomes. He loves being in Vancouver, although he does miss the Australian sunshine and beaches.
Dr. Samantha Chien
Dr. Samantha Chien received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Chien is committed to providing high quality evidence-based dentistry, combining patient needs and desires with the most up-to-date knowledge in dentistry. Dr. Chien continues to take part in study clubs and advanced education courses to stay current with technological advances and expand her expertise in the field. She is dedicated, detail-oriented and passionate for enriching lives and brightening smiles through educating and improving her patients’ oral health. She believes that education allows her patients to make an informed decision about their dental treatment. Her kind and enthusiastic personality helps patients feel at ease and comfortable in the dental chair.
Dr. Chien grew up in Vancouver and loves to be active. She grew up playing volleyball, ultimate, tennis, golf, competitive swimming, and waterpolo and continues to be active on several competitive teams. Dr. Chien loves interacting with people of all ages and has experience working with children, as a day camp leader, sports instructor, tutor, and coach. Away from the chair, Dr. Chien enjoys travelling, painting, cooking and playing the piano.
